Our standards

- Selection. We choose people for what they have built or changed, not for who pays us. Editorial decisions are made by Bashment's editor.
- Consent. Nobody is profiled without written agreement that covers what we publish. A person can withdraw, and we will remove the profile.
- Verification. Each factual claim is backed by at least two sources, and we record the date we checked.
- Images. Every image carries a credit line and a note on how we have the right to use it.
- Corrections. If we get something wrong we fix it and note the change on the page.
- Sponsorship. If a profile is paid for or sponsored, it says so at the top.
