Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: your email address, used to sign you in via Supabase Auth (magic link — we never see or store a password).
• Profile info you add: display name, profile photo, and genre preferences (used only to highlight genre-matched events for you in Explore).
• Location: if you tap to recenter the map on yourself, your browser asks permission and shares a one-time location — we don't track your location continuously or store a history of where you've been.
• Event data promoters enter: event details (title, venue, address, genres, flyer image, door price), and — after an event happens — attendance, what mainly drew people, whether it felt live, and (optionally) door revenue. This debrief data is private to the promoter who entered it; only anonymized, aggregated patterns (never a single promoter's real numbers) are ever shown to other promoters, in Citywide Patterns.
• Favorites and Circles: events/venues you save, and friend connections you make with other patrons.
• Usage analytics: we use PostHog to understand which features get used (e.g. an event being created or published) — this is product analytics, not advertising tracking, and we don't sell or share it with advertisers.
• Purchases: if you buy merch through the Bashment shop, payment is handled directly by Stripe (we never see your full card number), and your shipping address is shared with Printful solely to fulfill and ship your order.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't run third-party advertising trackers. We don't share your debrief data (attendance, revenue) with other promoters as raw numbers — only as anonymized aggregates once enough promoters have contributed that no individual promoter's figures can be identified.

Your choices

You can update or remove your genre preferences and profile photo anytime in Settings. Location sharing is opt-in each time — declining it just means the map won't auto-recenter on you. To delete your account or request your data, contact us at info@bashment.app.

Where your data lives

Bashment is built on Supabase (hosting our database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting the app). Because Bashment operates across both Jamaica and the United States, some data may be processed or stored in either jurisdiction depending on the service involved.
